Julio CardenalJulio Cardenal is a senior partner at Landmark Alantra Group and was also a founding partner of IB Partners, Landmark´s preceding company. Previously, he was UBS/Swiss Bank´s representative in Chile and head of its investment banking division S.G. Warburg for Chile, Peru and Bolivia. Mr. Cardenal has extensive experience in M&A transactions in Chile, Latin America, the United States and Europe. Some of the transactions in which he has worked include advising BCI on the acquisition of City National Bank in Miami, the sale of 60% of Ferreterías Imperial to Sodimac, the sale of 51% of Centrovet to the leading French animal health company Virbac, the sale of Portalinmobiliario to Mercado Libre, the acquisition of pharmacy chain SalcoBrand by Empresas Juan Yarur, the acquisition of a significant equity stake in Soquimich by PotashCorp, the sale of Forum Servicios Financieros to BBVA and the sale of Banco Granahorrar acting as advisor to the Colombian Government. He has been a board member of SalcoBrand, Industrias Ceresita, Ferreterías Imperial and Soquimich representing PotashCorp. He is an Aeronautical Engineer from Imperial College (University of London) and has an MBA from IESE (Universidad de Navarra). |
